Board the boat and cruise through the forest. Early in the morning, upon arrival at Khulna, we will take you to the boat at Jailkhana Ghat. Soon after your boarding we will start cruising south towards Sundarban. After completion of all formalities at the Forest Department Station near Mongla Port, real cruise into the forest will begin from the south-eastern part of the forest and will continue till reaching Dubla Chor (island) in the late afternoon. The guide shall take you observe the unique celebration of the Rash Purnima fair which takes place in honor of the Hindu God Lord Krishna at Dubla Island. It is said this tradition of celebrating the “rash jatra” was started in Dubla by a wandering ascetic during 1920’s, who lived in the Sundarbans for over 20 years. Overnight on board.

Explore the Rashmela and amazing biodiversity of Sundarban During the sunrise you shall witness the ‘snaan’ (holy bathing) at the shores of Dubla island. Here you will find hundreds of devotees coming in from all over the country to celebrate this auspicious event, who sits at the edge of the tide with offering for the gods. This event is over Soon after the sunrise, and you will have some free time to look around the island and its fishing community. By late morning, the boat shall cruise to Hironpoint. The guide shall provide activities at Hironpoint in the afternoon, including an easy trek and a boat trip. Overnight on board

6 Nov’17

Return Journey Depending on the tide schedule, the boat will begin the return journey with the high tide and cruising the whole day arrive Khulna in the afternoon. On the way you will enjoy the peaceful cruise through the creeks of the mangrove forest. After having dinner on board you will disembark the boat and avail your opted mode of return back to your place of living.


*For each foreign national additional BDT 5100/person shall be added as forest entrance fee
