Overnight Trip to Rajshahi Trip ( car)


DAY 01

Leave Dhaka early in the morning for Rajshahi , takes about 5½ hour. Lunch would be offered at a highway restaurant, After lunch, our first stop will be in Puthia. The charming town of Puthia, renowned for the largest number of historically important Hindu structures in Bangladesh. The Shiva Temple in Puthia is the largest Hindu temple in Bangladesh. The Govinda Temple, decorated with intricate terracotta designs, is in one of the country’s finest old Rajbaris’ courtyard. Continue to drive to Rajshahi, a University town on the Padma River. A short boat trip to enjoy the sunset over the Padma river will be arranged. Dinner would at a local restaurant & overnight in the hotel at Rajshahi.

DAY 02

Rajshahi offers several interesting attractions for visitors, including the country’s oldest museum, the Varendra Research Museum, managed by the Rajshahi University. In the predominantly British-style building with some interesting Hindu-Buddhist features, artifacts from all over the subcontinent are on display, including a superb collection of local Hindu sculpture. We will visit this Museum after breakfast.

Rajshahi is also known as the ‘silk capital’ of Bangladesh; visit a local silk production and watch the weaving, dying, block and batik painting of this exclusive natural fiber. After visiting the Silk factory continue to drive back to Dhaka, lunch at a high way restaurant on the way. Arrive at Dhaka early in the evening.
